Fixer Upper

Cori Eichelberger

Friday AM

This has become one of my most popular classes as word has been passed from knitters who have attended. Did one of your knitting projects have a problem? Have you finished knitting a sweater shawl or sweater and don’t wear it? Based on the popular HGTV show Fixer Upper I’m here to bring your old, unused, projects back to life.

Bring your problem projects to this class for a little help on fixes, tips and tricks for specific problems? I’ve had my share of problem knits throughout my 30+ years of knitting and I’ve come up with some unique and interesting fixes. Class participation will be required, as there really is no class if no one brings a problem. We will also possibly crowd source suggestions for solutions to your knitwear problems by letting knitters in the class also give suggestions for improvement in a garment’s wearability.

A good pattern should have the following: abbreviations, knitting instructions and charts, gauge & size
information, materials, photos and schematics. We’ll talk through each one of them, as well as go over some common mistakes made when reading a pattern. Most importantly, I’ll teach you how to read knitting stitch patterns. During class, we will look at several different patterns written by several designers to compare different types of instructions. A portion of class may be used to knit a section of a pattern following complicated instructions.

Hi, I'm Katie Your Summer Camp Host!

Can I be honest with you for a second?

If you're reading this and thinking "this sounds amazing, but..." I get it. I really do.

But I won't know anyone. You will by the end of day one. I promise. This community is the warmest, most welcoming group of people I've ever been around (online AND in person). You will not be the only one walking in solo, and you absolutely won't stay that way.

But I'm not advanced enough. Friend, we have classes for every single skill level from total beginners to seasoned knitters and crocheters who want a new challenge. There is no skill requirement for having the time of your life.

But I only want specific classes. I will personally do everything I can to get you into the classes you want most. That’s a Katie promise.

But it's a big trip. Yes, it is! And you are so worth it. This is your permission slip to invest in YOU. Your creativity. The kind of joy that fills your cup for months after you get home.

From the moment Dawn and I first dreamed up Summer Camp back in 2025, I pictured a place that was truly OURS. Like, ALL of ours. A place where you could walk in and feel 100% yourself and 100% welcome. That's exactly what we're giving you.

I can't WAIT to meet you next June. It's going to be a blast.

Katie 💕

Where You'll Stay

Get ready to fall in love with your Summer Camp home base: the beautiful Little America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City. (Squee!)

Everything (classes, meals, vendors, themed dinner parties) happens right here, so once you arrive you can settle in and never worry about getting anywhere else. Just you, your people, and four days of pure magic.

THE GOOD STUFF
• Only 15 minutes from SLC Airport (easy in, easy out)
Group rate available exclusively for Summer Camp attendees
Accessible rooms available (Let us know what you need and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of)
• Want to share a room with a friend? You absolutely can!
• Want to arrive early or stay late? The hotel is happy to extend your visit

We chose this hotel because we wanted a place that feels like a retreat from the moment you walk in. Gorgeous grounds, incredible service, and the kind of space where everyone feels welcome and comfortable.

Are you ready to be spoiled absolutely rotten? (I know! We can’t wait either!)

Friend, this is your invitation. Your sign. Your moment to say "YES" to yourself.

Dear Friend,

I started Twice Sheared Sheep in my living room with a pile of recycled yarn and a dream that was probably too big for the space I was in. But here's the thing about this community: you showed up. And you kept showing up.

Through every new tool, every launch, every wild idea I threw at you...you were there. Cheering, creating, sharing your projects, and lifting each other up in ways that still make me tear up when I think about it.

Summer Camp is my way of saying: let's finally be in the same room together.

I want to watch you learn something new. I want to see your face when you open your goodie bag. I want to sit at dinner with you and hear the story behind that project in your bag. I want to hug you and say thank you in person, for real, not through a screen.

This retreat was made just for YOU, whether you've been with us from the very beginning or you just found us last week. You belong here, friend.

Come join us at Summer Camp. I promise you'll experience something so spectacular you'll reminisce for years to come.

I can't wait to see you there 💕

Luv,

Dawn

We are SO GRATEFUL for YOU!
