Work For Twice Sheared Sheep!
We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Marketing Director
Full Time
Remote Position
$70,000 - $120,000 / year depending on experience
About the Role
Are you a strategic doer with a heart for service and a mind for marketing psychology?
We’re Twice Sheared Sheep, a fast growing knitting supplies company on a mission to reinvent crafting with innovative tools, empowering resources, and a strong community. We’re looking for a Marketing Director who wants more than a job—you want to build something meaningful.
You’ll take big-picture creative direction from our founder (who also acts as CMO) and own the execution. That means translating rough concepts into clear plans, identifying all the pieces it takes to bring a campaign to life (emails, photos, video, landing pages, ads, and more), and managing a small team to make it happen—on time and beautifully.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who:
- Loves to build systems that make creative people thrive.
- Cares deeply about the customer and knows how to make her feel seen.
- Can balance warm mentorship with high standards.
- Thinks like a scientist, creates like an artist, and leads like a coach.
What You'll Do:
- Translate strategy into executable marketing calendars and team task lists.
- Manage daily operations of our marketing team (assistant, photographer, contractors).
- Plan and oversee asset creation: email sequences, ad campaigns, landing pages, photo/video shoots, social posts.
- Monitor Shopify, Klaviyo, and campaign performance to identify drop-off points and opportunities for improvement.
- Deeply understand our ideal customer and help the team craft messaging that feels like “you read her mind.”
- Lead with kindness, curiosity, and a teacher’s heart—growing the team as you grow results.
- Constantly test, iterate, and improve—without chasing every new shiny tactic.
- Align every campaign with our broader mission to serve crafters and build community.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years leading ecommerce or lifestyle brand marketing (ideally DTC).
- Experience managing teams, timelines, and creative assets across multiple channels.
- A passion for storytelling, design, and customer empathy.
- Strong project management and organizational skills (Trello/Asana/ClickUp/etc.).
- Technical comfort with Shopify, Klaviyo, and page optimization (no dev needed—just hands-on).
- Willingness to think strategically, execute tactically, and lead collaboratively.
What Will Make You Shine:
- You’ve worked at a small-but-mighty brand where you wore many hats—and loved it.
- You obsess over the customer’s experience, from email open to checkout click.
- You love empowering others and helping junior team members grow.
- You’re excited about helping build something new—maybe even category-defining.
- You believe in excellence without ego, and humility without hesitation.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us:
- 100% remote (U.S.-based preferred for time zone overlap)
- Flexible schedule and a culture of trust
- A mission that matters: We support makers, build community, and create real jobs
- Small team, big vision, and room to grow with us
To Apply:
Please submit your resume and a brief note telling us:
- Why this role excites you.
- A campaign or project you’re proud of—what was your role and what made it work?
We can’t wait to meet you.
