Work For Twice Sheared Sheep!

We are currently hiring for the following positions:

Production Lead – CNC and Laser Maker Studio (Training Provided)

Dayshift hours M-F
Hours - 40 hours / week
Pay $20 - $25 / hr depending on experience

About the Role:
We design and make precision knitting and crochet tools — small wooden and mixed-material objects that fiber artists collect — and we make them ourselves, in our Pocatello studio, on CNC and laser equipment. Every week brings a different product and a different puzzle.

Position Summary:
We are hiring a Production Lead to make product on our studio equipment and to serve as second-in-command to the Studio Manager. This is a making role first: you will run machines every day, as everyone here does, including the manager. You will also own job sequencing, quality, and studio readiness, and you will lead the studio when the manager is away. Full training is provided on our CNC and laser equipment — we are looking for aptitude and care, not a resume full of machine hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and run CNC, laser, and hand-tool operations to produce finished components
  • Sequence the work queue so departments waiting on parts are not held up
  • Check work in process for fit, finish, and dimensional accuracy, catching issues before they affect a full run
  • Monitor material and component availability so runs are not interrupted
  • Turn broadly defined projects into concrete, executable steps
  • Partner with the Studio Manager on prototyping, process improvement, and daily problem-solving
  • Lead studio operations in the manager's absence
  • Keep the workspace safe, organized, and orderly

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on making experience and a working knowledge of tool safety. Self taught, hobby, and personal project experience counts — home workshops, maker spaces, 3D printing, laser cutting, miniatures and models, props, repair, or fine woodworking.
  • Genuine precision and attention to detail; small imperfections should bother you
  • Ability to organize and sequence work while adapting to frequent change
  • Ability to reason through problems independently and anticipate consequences
  • Dependable, respectful, and collaborative
  • Reliable on-site attendance, Monday through Friday

Preferred (But Not Required) Qualifications

  • Experience with CNC, laser, 3D printing, or CAD software
  • Prior lead or second-in-command experience

Working Environment:
Small team, shared workspace, changing product mix, and daily plans that get revised as new priorities appear. Suited to someone methodical about quality who stays flexible about the plan.

Compensation and Benefits:
$20.00–$25.00 per hour depending on experience
weekly pay
paid time off
paid holidays
health insurance
flexible daily hours
Monday through Friday, no weekends

Production Assistant – Maker Studio (Training Provided)

Dayshift hours M-F
Hours - 20 - 40 hours / week
Pay $15 - $18 / hr depending on experience

Position Summary

We are hiring a Production Assistant to help make product in our studio. No prior experience is required. If you are careful with your hands, reliable, and interested in learning how things are made, we will teach you the rest — including how to safely run our tools and equipment. This is a genuinely good place to pick up real making skills: laser and CNC work, finishing, assembly, and quality inspection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily production: cutting, engraving, sanding, finishing, assembly, and packaging
  • Learn to safely operate studio tools and equipment under the guidance of experienced team members
  • Inspect pieces for fit, finish, and appearance, and set aside anything that isn't right
  • Keep components, materials, and finished goods organized and accurately counted
  • Follow written processes and checklists accurately, and ask questions when something is unclear
  • Help keep the studio clean, safe, and orderly
  • Pitch in wherever the day's priorities require — the work changes often

Required Qualifications

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality — a small team depends on each person showing up
  • Respectful, considerate conduct toward coworkers
  • Careful attention to detail, especially with small objects; you notice when something is slightly off
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and ask questions
  • Ability to stay focused on repetitive, precise work and to switch tasks when priorities change
  • Comfortable standing, moving, and handling small parts for much of the day
  • Authorized to work in the United States and able to work on-site full-time, Monday through Friday

No experience necessary. We train on all equipment and processes. You do not need to have worked in a shop, studio, or production setting before.

Helpful but Not Required

  • Any experience making things with your hands, at work or on your own time — crafting, sewing, 3D printing, model or miniature building, painting, props and costumes, repair projects, baking, or a home workshop
  • Experience following detailed instructions precisely — recipes, patterns, kits, assembly work, lab work
  • Familiarity with knitting, crochet, or other fiber and craft disciplines
  • Basic tool safety knowledge

Working Environment

We are a small, collaborative, low-ego team that shares one workspace. Our product mix changes constantly — we make something different most days — so the work stays varied and plans get adjusted often. Everyone here makes product, including our manager. It is a friendly, quiet, focused shop, and it suits people who enjoy precise work and being part of a team that helps each other out.Compensation and Benefits

  • $15.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Weekly pay
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Health insurance
  • Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends, with flexible daily start and end times
  • Paid on-the-job training in CNC, laser, finishing, and assembly work
