About the Role

As our Social Media Assistant, you will be responsible for managing our social media presence by posting content, engaging with our community, and optimizing our strategy based on analytics. You’ll work closely with our marketing team to ensure our content is seen and loved by our audience of passionate knitters and fiber artists.Responsibilities

• Schedule and publish posts, stories, and videos on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
• Write engaging, on-brand captions based on our content guidelines and past materials
• Respond to comments and direct messages, representing the brand in a friendly, professional manner
• Track social media metrics and provide insights on engagement and growth
• Stay updated on social media trends and platform changes, recommending optimizations
• Collaborate with our marketing team, including our marketing manager, photographer, videographer, and email marketer
• Ensure all posts go out on time and comments/DMs are checked several times a day

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand
• Strong writing skills with the ability to mimic our brand voice
• Experience using Meta Business Suite, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets), and YouTube Studio
• Ability to repurpose existing content (website copy, emails, past posts) into fresh social media captions
• Basic video editing skills are a plus but not required
• Knowledge of knitting, crochet, or fiber arts is strongly preferred! We’re looking for someone who understands our audience or is eager to learn.
