How It Works

Place the yarn spindle through the yarn base

Place your center wound yarn cake on the spindle.

To knit from your chair:

Place the yarn base on the table carousel and it will spin with each light tug of the yarn.

To take your yarn on the go:

Attach the wrist strap to the top loop. Lift the yarn off of the table base and hang it from your wrist.

Pro tip! Hang from the wrist NOT holding your yarn for easy no-tangle knitting on the go.

Life Changer for Slippery Yarns

I received the yarn carousel in my 2023 Advent Box. I was trying to figure out how I was going to knit with a super slippery linen yarn that I was warned at my LYS has a tendency to collapse on itself when you knit with a center pull cake. I realized that I could put them on the yarn carousel and knit away without worrying about the ball collapsing and still be able to take it places with me as my portable project.

So Good I Had to Buy Another!

I received a Yarn Carousel in my 2023 Advent Box. Let me say my initial reaction was less than impressed. When would I use this? How would I use this? But then I started a new project. After caking the yarn, I immediately plopped it onto the carousel and cast on. It is PERFECTION! My yarn flows readily - no more pausing to yank more off. It is more portable than most of my yarn bowls and it tangles far less frequently.
As I frequently have more than one project on the hook or needles at any given time, when I switched to another project that didn't have the yarn on the carousel, I found myself missing it very much indeed. I've purchased a second one. And I'm sorely tempted to purchase a third and fourth. But I fear that by so doing, my list of WIPs would grow completely out of hand and I might never actually finish anything ever again! (But is that *really* a problem??!)

So glad I bought this!

This was one of those things that I didn’t think I really needed but it looked interesting and why not try? I received it and didn’t use it right away because I had a few projects going and they were all inside pull. About a month after I received it, I started a pair of socks and decided to use the Yarn Carousel fully expecting that I might be making this more complicated but NO! I am a Carousel convert! I am using it on the little turning plate and I sit it on the side table while I watch tv and work on my sock. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this little carousel. No more stopping to pull yarn, no more yarn babies! I don’t know how I did without this cool carousel, I’m gonna find a reason to use it on the wrist strap ( I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time, so walking and knitting is a superpower I admire in others). Thanks for this great item!!

Surprised to love it!

By putting this on my wrist my thieving yarn cat is defeated! He can still grab the yarn, but he can’t get away. Victory! This is also the only one I’ve seen that has a detachable, spinning base in case you don’t want to carry it. BIG winner for me!❤️
